Marion County deputies said they are searching for a 19-year-old man whom they described as armed and dangerous.
Sidney Ferguson is wanted for the murder of his stepfather, Johnathon Thurman.
Deputies said they received a call around 11 p.m. Friday reporting a shooting on Southwest 128th Street Road, in Marion Oaks.
When investigators arrived, they found Thurman in the front yard with a gunshot wound. He later died at a nearby hospital.
Witnesses told deputies that Ferguson shot his stepfather during an altercation.
Deputies said Ferguson, pictured above, is about 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing black basketball shorts and a black shirt.
Ferguson left the scene in a dark blue or black sedan, according to investigators.
Again, Ferguson is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him or have any information about his whereabouts, call 911 immediately.
