A skydiver is dead in an apparent parachute accident at Skydive DeLand, police said Wednesday.

We've learned the 33-year-old woman's death is the second deadly skydiving accident at Skydive DeLand in less than four months.

And two men died in separate skydiving accidents at SkyDive DeLand in 2013.

Skydive DeLand is located at the DeLand Municipal Airport. The call came in around 4:10 p.m. in reference to a skydive accident.

We’re told as soon as first responders arrived, they found the 33-year-old woman, who had just parachuted, dead.

Her identity is not being released, pending next of kin notification.

Volusia County detectives are investigating the cause of the accident.

“Some of the accidents, they're accidents. Some you can prevent it," said Evelyn Arcola, who works near Skydive DeLand.

Arcola said she’s sad about the deadly accident but would skydive again there.

“Like I said, it’s so many things you have to worry about here in the world," Arcola said. "And when you’re up there in the sky it’s like nothing matters, just the air, the world in your hands and be so free. Free of problem, everything."

Arcola added that for her, skydiving was a life-changing experience.

"So if you got the chance to do something like that, it’s a big challenge and you can get addicted and I understand now how, because you feel all that adrenaline and all that excitement and you want to live it again," Arcola explained.

Right now, there’s no word on what caused this accident.
