A Lake Mary teenager was killed Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash.
The crash happened around 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Way Road and Spinnaker Way.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Bi Dong, 35, was driving his car eastbound on Lake Way Road and turned left onto Spinnaker Way into the path of a motorcycle driven by 19-year-old Ian Maggard.
Investigators said Maggard laid down his motorcycle to avoid hitting the car and was thrown from the motorcycle and crashed into the side of the car.
Maggard, who troopers said was wearing a helmet, was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center and died.
FHP said the crash remains under investigation.
