Here's what you need to know about Central Florida's weather for the coming days:

  • Large amounts of rain expected throughout the day
  • Widespread rain this afternoon, with downpours likely
  • Locally heavy thunderstorms expected Wednesday
  • Unseasonably cool air arrives Thursday

Isolated showers will continue to move through overnight with patchy fog setting in too.  Lows will fall into the upper 60s as our wind remains from the East off the Ocean.

A warm front will be lifting north through Central Florida Wednesday morning, shifting our wind from the southwest, gusting up to 15 mph at times.  Temperatures will climb into the mid-80s under a partly sunny sky.  Scattered showers will accompany the front with more showers and storms possible later in the afternoon as a cold front drives in from the west.  Our wind is expected to turn more out of the west once this happens and increasing.

A few lingering showers are still possible behind the front Thursday morning as we begin the process of slowly drying out.  Clouds will continue to break, with sunshine to return by later afternoon.  Sunshine and dry conditions will persist Friday through the weekend with highs below normal from 2 to 5 degrees.
