Melbourne Police have busted a marijuana operation that they say involved a potent and dangerous form of pot that can cause hallucinations.

Police say the scary part is that anyone could be smoking it next to you and you wouldn't know it.

The Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit seized 20 mason and pickle jars containing 120 grams of pot.

On the jars are what appear to be prescription labels from Washington state, where medical marijuana is legal.

They also seized items used for a possible sales operation including scales and small baggies.

But there's another part of the bust that really has investigators concerned.

Detectives found cannabis oils known as wax, a new version of marijuana, melted down from the leaves, which looks like ear wax.

“Just a little drop can be put into a vaporizer into those e-cigarettes, or anything along those lines, and it would be a much more potent high than your regular cannabis,” said Commander Dan Lynch from the Melbourne Police Department.

Police said it's 80 percent more potent than the average marijuana cigarette due to its concentration. Someone could be smoking it with an e-cigarette right next to or near you and you wouldn't realize it.

Investigators said smoking this form of pot can cause hallucinations and even psychosis.

Investigators arrested 36-year-old Jedehiah Poulsen, who they said was selling the pot shipments out of his Short Hills Lane condo.

He is charged with possession of marijuana more than 20 grams, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They are trying to determine how long he's been dealing the drugs and where they were coming from.

The Washingtonmedical labels can be bought online, so they could have come from anywhere.

And the labels had handwritten terms like "Green Crack" and "Blue Dream."

“They are not what you or I would think of a normal drug label,” said Lynch.

Police say Poulsen has a criminal record including drug trafficking charges.

The investigation continues and more arrests could be made.
