A trio of young cyclists is pedaling their way to yet again raise money and awareness for a Brevard County preschool.

Meet three graduates of the Space Coast Early Intervention Center.

Carson White, 11, looks out for his two friends Richie and Quentin who have special needs.

Carson is their mentor and has guided them through life, school and for the past five years cycling!

“Year after year, they keep setting new goals, fundraising goals, new physical limitations, it's awesome,” said Carson’ mother Renee White.

The young cyclists met five years ago at the Space Coast Early Intervention Center, a place designed to provide equal learning opportunities for kids of all backgrounds.

Students like Carson are put together with children like Richie and Quentin.  Friendships form and guidance comes through.

“This school is all about integrating special needs kids with role model, typically developing ones, teaching them all how to learn together and give back to the community,” said White.

The trio is giving back is through a bike ride called "Cycle Jam", now in its 6th year.

Kids can ride 10, 15, 33 or even up to 66 miles on a road course. This year the boys will ride the maximum!

“Exciting! Nothing better than crossing the finish line obviously,” said Carson.

All the money raised goes to help support the non-profit school. Over the years the boys have raised more than $25,000.

Carson's encouragement especially comes through on the long distance ride.

“He says keep going, don't give up,” said cyclist Richie Koretsky.

The 6th Annual Cycle Jam for the Kids takes place on April 26. Click here for more information.
