A child has been taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in Orange County, officials said.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. Friday, near the intersection of Pershing Avenue and Woodgate Boulevard. It's in the area of Ventura Elementary School.
An unknown black-colored vehicle struck the child and a sign and left the scene, according to the Orlando Fire Department.
The child was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children with minor injuries.
