Friday's Atlas V rocket launch has been delayed until Saturday. The window opens at 12:13 p.m.

The rocket was supposed to launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station between 12:17 p.m. and 12:35 p.m. However, United Launch Alliance said a leak was discovered during final preparations, which requires repair.

Here's what you need to know about Saturday's scheduled Atlas V rocket launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station:

  • Launch Window: Opens at 12:13 p.m.
  • Payload: GPS 2F-11 (Air Force Block 2F navigation satellite)
  • Launch Site: SLC-41, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station

Launch crews have an 18-minute window to get the Atlas V rocket off the ground and send an Air Force navigation satellite into orbit.

The rocket is carrying the 11th in a set of 12 interim GPS Block 2F satellites, which will eventually be replaced by GPS Block 3A satellites. Those are scheduled to launch no earlier than 2017.
