Remember going to or hosting slumber parties as a child? Well it turns out they’re not just for humans.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office Animal Services is launching a Shelter Break Sleepover program.

It gives dogs a much needed break from the shelter environment.

Interested parties should come into the office, 28123 County Road 561, from Monday through Thursday and fill out a foster application.

Animal Services will then find the perfect dog for you.

You’ll pick up the dog between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday and bring it back Monday.

Of course, you can also choose to adopt the dog.
