A LYNX bus crashed into an Apopka church early Friday morning causing extensive damage to the building.
It happened around 5 a.m. at the Park Avenue Worship Center Church of God located at 117 N. Park Avenue.
The church posted photos of the damage on its Facebook page.
The Apopka Police Department said a LYNX bus was going northbound on Park Avenue when an SUV traveling east on Magnolia apparently missed a stop sign due to the fog and hit the bus. Police said the bus did a pivot and crashed into the building.
Investigators said the female driver of the SUV and the two children traveling with her as well as the driver and the lone passenger on the bus were all transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
