It was a sunny and very nice martin Luther King, Jr. Day here in Central Florida with sunshine and highs in the 60s and 70s on Monday.  The area is looking forward to a fairly quiet weather pattern for the rest of this week and into the upcoming weekend.  Fair weather and high pressure are in control for now, but two cold fronts are expected to move down the peninsula over the next seven days.  The first on Wednesday with nothing more than a few clouds and a short cool down and the second on Friday, with the chance for clouds and rain to end the week.

Clear skies and cool conditions are expected this morning with high pressure in control of the weather over the Florida Peninsula.  Temperatures will fall into the 40s and 50s with some areas of patchy fog possible through the morning commute.  Winds will turn southerly for today and tomorrow, resulting in warmer weather, with highs in the middle 70s during the afternoon.  Overnight lows will only fall into the middle 50s on Wednesday, with afternoon highs in the middle 70s under partly cloudy skies.

Behind Wednesday’s cold front temperatures will fall a bit for Thursday with highs in the 60s to near 70 degrees.  The next frontal passage is expected on Friday and that will result in quite a bit of cloud cover and a good chance for rain all day Friday.  Skies will be slow to clear Friday night, so we will keep some clouds around for Saturday with highs on both days in the middle 60s.  Expect a cool but sunny rest of the weekend and beginning of next week, with lows on Sunday and Monday in the middle 40s and highs in the middle 60s under sunny skies.
