wo women are dead after crashing into a dump truck on the south side of Orange County. It all happened at the intersection of Boggy Creek and New Hope roads.
Traffic came to a halt along Boggy Creek Road Friday morning after 38-year-old Maritza Vasquez’s silver car collided with a dump truck. Both Vasquez and her 38-year-old passenger, Yezenia Morales, were killed in the crash.
Investigators said Vasquez pulled out onto Boggy Creek when a dump truck heading north crashed into her car. We were told the dump truck driver was fine and able to walk away from the crash. Florida Highway Patrol troopers said he was shaken up. They are still investigating to find out who may have been at fault.
Eyewitnesses we spoke to off camera told us the two women were driving to a pool. Family members were following them there.
The Florida Highway Patrol said this is an ongoing investigation looking into exactly what could of happened here along Boggy Creek Road.
