Clermont residents will hear more about a long-awaited splash pad tonight in Lake County.
A group of mothers, who were pushing for the pad on social media, were not sure if their idea would become reality, until a recreation center and pool virtually fell into the laps of city leaders this year.
Now talks center around adding the splash pad to the rec center that opened last month.
Original plans called for putting it at Clermont’s Waterfront Park or in the city’s downtown area to attract more people to local storefronts.
The pros and cons of the locations will be discussed at the city council’s 7 p.m. meeting, 685 W. Montrose St.
