A man was killed early Saturday morning after he "darted" out in front of a Walmart tractor-trailer along I-4 in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Andrew Buonanni, 27, of Merritt Island, had his 2003 GMC Envoy parked on the side of the highway near mile marker 72, near the Bee Line Expressway, around 12:34 a.m.
Larry Davis, 37, of Punta Gorda, was traveling westbound on I-4 in the outside lane in his Walmart tractor-trailer.
For an unknown reason, Buonanni opened up the driver's side door and darted out in front of the truck. Davis was unable to avoid a collision with Buonanni.
The front of the Walmart truck hit and killed the man. An alcohol test is pending, the report states.
The crash remains under investigation.
