A man is charged with murder after Marion County investigators said he killed a man over a can of beer.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 12 at the Greenfield Apartments on Southeast 30th Place.
Investigators said Daniel Trent and Mark Durham drank two cases of beer when a fight broke out between the two over the last can.
That’s when investigators said Durham grabbed a knife and cut Trent’s hand.
Trent said he then grabbed the knife, stabbing Durham and his dog to death.
Trent was charged with second-degree murder and is being held without bond in the Marion County Jail.
