Researchers want to from people in Palm Coast as they try to better understand what happens during a disaster.

Palm Coast was chosen because of the tornado that touched down in December destroying seven homes and damaging more than 160 others.

Researchers with the University of Missouri-Columbia want to talk to every Palm Coast resident 18 or older who lived in town during the Dec. 14, 2013 tornado.

You don’t have live in one of the neighborhoods affected by the tornado to take part in the survey.

The survey is on the city’s website and yuo can also call toll free at (800) 453-8436 to take part.

The survey is open until February 17. The results will be shared with the city so any improvements can be made if they are necessary.

The National Weather Service said the tornado had winds as high as 110 miles per hour and was 25 to 75 yards wide.
