Some Central Florida cities got into the spirit of the season with special events Friday night.

The City of Orlando continued its annual holiday tradition, lighting the city's 72-foot-tall Christmas tree Friday night in Lake Eola Park.

The ceremony also featured a holiday sing-along, gift vendors and an outdoor viewing of a holiday movie.

The Orlando Christmas tree has 88,000 LED lights that animate insync with music.

In St. Cloud, hundreds of kids stood in line to throw snow balls.

The city held its annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony, and also brought in some snow for kids to play with downtown.

Saturday morning the festivities will continue with their holiday parade in downtown St. Cloud.

Clermont celebated its second day of Light Up Clermont with the lighting of the city's Christmas tree. they also lit up sculptures around the lake at Waterfront Park. On Saturday morning there will be a craft show and parade.

And in Lake Mary Santa Claus was on hand to light up the trees for Holiday in the Park.
