Casey Anthony will now have to appear in court when her civil case goes to trial.

But the issue of finding out where she's been hiding may have gone away.

We have confirmed, one of Casey's criminal attorneys, Cheney Mason, will accept the subpoena on her behalf and give it to her, himself. That means Casey's whereabouts will remain a secret from the public.

But an attorney for Zenaida Gonzalez, Matt Morgan said they are happy that Casey Anthony will be in court.

"Yesterday was a great day for us because it gets to show America that Casey Anthony is not going to get special treatment anymore and it stopped yesterday because now she is going to be held accountable. She is going to have to sit there and look Zenaida in the eyes, and tell her what she did,” Morgan said.

Casey has been in hiding since she was released from jail in July 2011. However, Judge Lisa Munyon ruled earlier in May that attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez could subpoena Casey to court.

“We had retired federal agents on this. We had a team, that was a very impressive team, that had scoured the state of Florida and we were on her scent,” Morgan said.

Gonzalez is suing for defamation, claiming her life was ruined was Casey told investigators looking for her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, that a nanny with the same name kidnapped her.

It was later revealed during Casey's murder trial that she knew her daughter was dead the entire time, though her lawyers claimed Caylee drowned. Casey was ultimately acquitted of first-degree murder.

Morgan said Gonzalez is not looking for money.

“All she wanted to see was the system work, Zenaida works hard for her money for her family. She is not expecting millions of dollars, she want to see justice and she wants to see justice work the way it’s supposed to and so she is happy,” Morgan said. “This is the first time she will be in a courtroom where she will potentially have to answer questions about what happened. ”

Morgan claimed Gonzalez has not received money to appear on television shows, however he said they will pay reasonable expenses to fly her out to the show and do her hair and make-up.

The civil trial is expected to start January 2, 2013.
