Politicians in every office make promises to their constituents. Florida Governor Rick Scott is no different.
One his promises: A higher education system focused “on the following goals that will give Florida a competitive edge over other states: Be number one in university and college affordability."
PolitiFact Florida took a look at the governor’s work so far and rated this promise IN THE WORKS on the Scott-O-Meter.
Writer Joshua Gillin said there has actually been a change in Florida’s ranking.
“Florida is fourth from the top in low public tuition,” Gillin said.
The three states ahead of Florida include:
1. Wyoming.
2. New Mexico
3. Montana
It is for that reason, Governor Scott’s promise received a rating of IN THE WORKS.
