A Bay area Facebook groupReal Talk: Real Answers, has spearheaded a peaceful rally held Saturday in Tampa as part of the "Justice for Trayvon" movement.

The group met at Al Lopez Park at 10:30 a.m. and proceeded to the corner of Dale Mabry and Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd at 11 a.m.

There was a short address prior to marching to the street corner. The rally was expected to last until 1 p.m.

The group posted the following message on their Facebook profile:

"Lets do this in memory of this young man who was taken well before his time. For those of you who have children, it is unimaginable to have to bury your own child. In your heart of hearts, you would want the same support. So come out with your hoodies, signs and lets show this young man's family that we want justice for him as well!"

The event is open to the public. Attendees are asked to wear hoodies, but such attire is not required. Protestors are welcome to bring supportive signs and posters.

The rally is a replica of the "Million Hoodie March" held in New York City and similar to a protest held in Sanford on Thursday.

The death of Trayvon Martin, 17, sparked an outcry for the arrest of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer who shot and killed the teen. The case remains under investigation and Zimmerman has not been charged with any crime and maintains his actions were in self defense.
