The fifth Orlando Touchdown Club meeting of the season is upon us on Monday, October 16th. The group that meets bi-weekly inside the Taproom at Dubsdread in College Park will be recognizing four more high school football athletes.

The club that's been around for nearly seven decades continues its tradition of honoring top high school athletes in Seminole and Orange counties and this week features students from Timber Creek (2-4)Boone (5-1)Ocoee (1-7) and Edgewater (6-1).

Week 6-7 Honorees

Parker Smith, Timber Creek Senior LB, 19 tackles, two for a loss in a district loss to Winter Park, 28-22 (Sept. 29) **leads team with 52 tackles

DeVonte Booker, Boone Senior MLB, helped Boone limit Apopka’s run game in a 22-10 loss on September 22

Dexter Rentz, Ocoee Sophomore DB/WR, tied a state record of five interceptions against Ocala West Port on Oct. 5 to give Ocoee its first win of season. Rentz was named the Spectrum Sports Athlete of the Week for his efforts and you can read the complete article right here

R.J. Harvey, Edgewater Junior QB, had four touchdowns in win at Lake Howell on October 5th. He rushed for 103 yards and three scores and went 7-of-12 for 184 passing yards and a TD.

The guest speaker for Monday’s meeting will be SEC Network’s Tony Barnhart.
