Winter Park senior Christina Ambrose handled business last Thursday against the First Academy. Ambrose tallied 25 kills, 10 digs in a Wildcats win over the 5-time State Champion Royals.
“I think my team worked very well together," Ambrose said. “We worked very hard on staying focused and determined to beat TFA and I think we just came together and just worked on our team goals and really pushed through to get that win.”
Winter Park is currently 5-0 with Ambrose leading the attack with 84 kills.
“Christina’s a big physical presence for us for everybody," Coach Stephanie Gibson said. "She plays at such a high level her development over the last year has just been incredible. She’s developed shots, she obviously has power and she has that aggressiveness and killer instinct.”
Ambrose is committed to play volleyball at Purdue next year.
