  • There's a lot of encouragement in Amanda Bond's classroom at Hiawassee Elementary School in Orlando.

"You really can't do it without loving children and loving learning," she said.

She knows firsthand about finding a passion for learning, especially at this school.

"I was in school here many moons ago and I always loved learning," Bond said. "I always loved my teachers and had a really good experience, and I really want to recreate that for the children."

Bond is not the only one wanting to recreate that magic. One of her classmates from back in the day who is also a teacher at the same school just happens to be her twin sister Ashlee Woods who says.

"Believe it or not, the kids actually do a great job of telling us apart," Woods said. "They are not easily confused."

The twin sisters are teachers now and some of their former teachers are still working at the school with them.

"My pre-K teacher is still here, Mrs. McLemore," Bond said. "And so that was different because I was used to being a little person, and you know I'm grown now, and I still feel like she's my teacher."

"It's actually really fun to now be colleagues — going from being their students to now their fellow teachers," Woods added. "The students always kind of remind you of why you're doing it and what you do it for."
