TAMPA, Fla. — Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is offering visitors a chance to take behind-the-scenes tours of some of its roller coasters.

  • Visitors can go behind-the-scenes at SheiKra, Iron Gwazi, Cheetah Hunt or Cobra's Curse

  • Tours will be available from Saturday through Tuesday

​​​The tours, which will start Saturday and run through Tuesday, will be available for SheiKra, Iron Gwazi, Cheetah Hunt and Cobra’s Curse. During the tours, visitors will be to see areas usually off-limits to the public as well as talk with ambassadors who work on the coasters.

To participate, visitors must sign up at Serengeti Outpost. The tours are scheduled for noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets for the tours are available for free and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The behind-the-scenes offering is in celebration of National Roller Coaster Day, which takes place on Aug. 16.

Busch Gardens is also running a limited-time deal on tickets. Those who buy a single-day ticket can get a second ticket for free through Aug. 14. Visits must be completed by Sept. 30.
