The University of Central Florida chapter of the Sigma Chi fraternity's suspension for alcohol-related hazing is now two years shorter after the group appealed the penalty.

According to a letter sent to the fraternity, Sigma Chi's suspension has been adjusted, now ending after the fall 2014 semester.

The suspension was originally supposed to last through fall 2016.

Sigma Chi was placed on emergency suspension in February after a photo surfaced on Facebook showing a young man being forced to drink a shot, while two others sitting nearby appeared to be visibly sick.

The caption on the photo read: "Forcing a pledge to chug while two others puke in misery."
