ORLANDO, Fla. — Minion Land is coming to Universal Studios Florida this summer, and the sign for the new themed area has been unveiled.

The new sign, located near the front of the park, features the yellow minion characters seen in the “Despicable Me” and “Minions” films. An "evil" purple minion is among the bunch at the bottom of the sign.
At the top of the sign is a smaller sign for Illumination Ave, the location of the new Minion Land.
The land will include the existing Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction as well as new attractions and experiences such as Villain-Con Minion Blast, Minion Cafe, the Bake My Day bakery and retail store and the Pop-A-Nana popcorn stand, which will serve banana-flavored popcorn.
There will also be a dedicated character meet-and-greet area with minions, Despicable Me characters, and characters from the animated film, “Sing.”
Minion Blast, an interactive blaster game attraction, is located in the building that previously was home to Shrek 4-D. The new Minion Cafe is replacing the former Universal Studios' Calssic Monsters Cafe.
