ORLANDO, Fla.— The 2024 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is several months away, but those hoping to participate in the big racing event will be able register soon.

General registration for the race weekend will open at 10 a.m. on April 11.
The weekend, which begins Jan. 4, will include a 5K, 10K, the Walt Disney World Half-Marathon and the Walt Disney World Marathon.
Prices for the races are $107.99 for the 5K, $150.99 for the 10K, $218.99 for the half marathon and $221 for the marathon.
The event will also include two challenges—Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge (completing the half marathon and the marathon) and the Dopey Challenge (completing all races).
RunDisney has also revealed the themes for each of the races. Pluto will represent the 5K, Chip ’N Dale the 10K, Donald and Daisy Duck the half marathon and Mickey and Minnie Mouse the marathon.
This year's marathon weekend had a retro theme to mark the event's 30th anniversary.
The next runDisney race event at Disney World is the Springtime Surprise Weekend, which is scheduled for April 13-16.
