Pig on the Pond

03/09/18 to 02/11/18 Waterfront Park, Clermont

Pig on the Pond is an annual festival bringing fun to south Lake County for nearly 20 years.  Enjoy delicious barbecue, live entertainment, carnival rides, kids activities, fireworks, and much more.  Plus see country music star Collin Raye!  The festival is put on by Project Scholars to provide educational scholarships to support local students.  

Adults $5, Children $3 (2-6) and children under 2 are free.  

There is no on-site parking so, park at nearby lots to catch the free shuttles to the park.  

  • Shuttles 1 & 2 - Clermont Middle School
  • Shuttle 3 - Clermont Park & Ride (Hwy 27 just south of Hwy 50)
  • Shuttle 4 & 5 - Citrus Tower Professional Center (Hwy 27 and Hunt Street)

A Gift For Teaching

09/01/17 to 05/31/18 Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties

A Gift For TeachingA Gift For Teaching is Central Florida's primary provider of free school supplies. More than 67 percent of students in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties can't afford school supplies, and more than 12,000 are homeless.

For every $1 donated, A Gift For Teaching can provide up to $10 worth of school supplies.

Supplies can also be donated during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.). Email B2SD@agiftforteaching.org to schedule a drop off. The top five essential items are:

  • Packs of No. 2 pencils
  • 8- or 10-count packs of washable markers
  • Pocket folders
  • 24-count crayon packs
  • Packs of loose-leaf paper
