ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida will finally have autumn temperatures for Wednesday.

With a front sweeping south on Wednesday, much colder air will filter in behind in, causing temperatures to stay in the 60s for highs for many inland locations.

Coastal temperatures will stay in the low 70s with winds off the water, but those winds will be strong and potentially to gale force. Plan on a blustery day with clouds and spotty showers lingering.

Showers will linger on Thursday with onshore winds and the front stalled to the south. A slight warm-up will result with temperatures back to around 80 degrees.

Deteriorating conditions will resume Thursday night as low pressure and its attending cold front approach from the west.

This feature will push across the Peninsula on Friday with numerous showers and a few thunderstorms embedded. Cooler and drier weather will follow for the weekend.

Beach and Surf Conditions

Several hazards will result in the water as winds increase to 20 to 25 knots with higher gusts from the northeast. Seas will build to 7 to 10 feet.

A high-surf advisory is in effect, which is paired with a Coastal Flood Warning in Flagler County.

Tropical Update

In the tropics, there are no systems to track at this time. The hurricane season runs through November 30.
