illustrating the topic with which we're kicking off Severe Weather Awareness Week: lightning.

On the same day last month, several tornadoes touched down in communities along the Interstate 4 corridor.

And don't forget: Florida is often called the lightning capital of the U.S. So our Weather Experts are focusing Monday's severe weather topic on lightning.

One easy tip to remember to keep you safe: "When thunder roars, go indoors."

If shelter isn't available, crouch down really low, but make sure as little of your body is touching the ground as possible.

On Wednesday, there will be a statewide tornado drill at about 10 a.m.
