ORLANDO, Fla. — It’s another hot Saturday morning in Florida and two former UCF football players are in Orlando getting ready to host a youth camp.

However, it’s not just any former players.

It’s McKenzie Milton and Marlon Williams — a perfect duo for young quarterbacks and wide receivers to learn from.

What You Need To Know

  • Former UCF football players McKenzie Milton and Marlon Williams are in Orlando getting ready to host a youth camp

  • Williams just wrapped up his first stint in the USFL, where he helped lead the Birmingham Stallions to a championship title

  • He is using that experience and staying ready in hopes of making football his full-time job once again

“I’ve had trainers in the past, but Marlon Williams, he’s elite. I needed that kind of training. He played for USFL, he won the championship. UCF legend, he is so good I needed that stuff,” said Devin Coleman, a local 8th grader.

That excitement is one of the main reasons Williams shows up and gives back.

“To be able to bring that same smile to people’s faces, I don’t think there is a better feeling. I’d rather be up doing football on a Saturday than doing anything else. That’s anybody who loves football. This game has given me so much, so it’s a great opportunity to give the knowledge to the younger guys,” said Marlon Williams, a former UCF football player and now USFL champion.

Williams just wrapped up his first stint in the USFL, where he helped lead the Birmingham Stallions to a championship title.

“Anytime I get to play football, it’s a great opportunity. It was a lot of guys that played in the NFL and a lot of guys trying to get to the NFL, so it was really good football, good competition. I learned how the pro side of football was seeing how you have to be even more on top of everything because it’s literally your job,” said Williams.

He is using that experience and staying ready in hopes of making football his full-time job once again.

“Staying ready, working out, waiting for a call. It’s training camp, so anything can happen. They bring guys in every day, so just be ready. When they call my name, I will be ready,” said Williams.

In the meantime, he is sharing his knowledge while inspiring the future of the sport.

“Do what you love and if you love it, you need to be all into it,” said Williams.

“Hard work, hard work, hard work and belief. A lot of belief,” said Coleman.
