Private schools reigned supreme at Saturday's Showdown in O-Town, winning four of the six games that matched public schools against private schools.

Host Orlando Christian Prep, the top team in the Bright House Sports Network boys basketball rankings, improved to 17-0 with a 70-56 win against Dr. Phillips.

UCF-signee Adonys Henriquez and Dmitri Thompson both scored 20 points to lead the Warriors while freshman Chaundee Brown finished with 19 for DP.

In a game that featured two of the nation's top point guards, Lake Highland defeated Boone 76-68. North Carolina signee Joel Berry played a terrific all around game, scoring 24 points with five rebounds, five assists and two blocks. UCF signee B.J. Taylor had a game high 36 points and hit four-of-six three-pointers.

Oviedo prevailed in the final game of the day as the Lions handled First Academy 65-57. Junior Matt Milon scored a game high 23 points, 10 of which came in the second quarter when the Lions took a lead they would never relinquish.

In other action, Wekiva dominated Windermere Prep 77-49, Faith Christian held off Hagerty 54-51 and Jacksonville Providence outlasted Evans 66-60. The Stallions (Class 3A) and the Trojans (8A) are both ranked No. 1 in their respective classifications.
