ORLANDO, Fla. — Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, has officially opened at ICON Park in Orlando.

What You Need To Know

The new restaurant off International Drive marks the first restaurant Ramsay has opened in Florida.

A fast-casual eatery, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips offers Ramsay’s take on the classic fish and chips dish.

"Fish and chips was a real tradition for me growing up, so I'm excited to deliver that same nostalgia to all the local residents and tourist here in Orlando," Ramsay said in a statement.

For those looking for something beyond fish and chips, the menu also offers fried shrimp, lobster, chicken, the signature “Fishwich,” and a selection of sauces. Beverages include lemonade, sweet tea, soft drinks, and beer. There are two desert shakes on the menu: Sticky Toffee Pudding and Biscoff.

There's also a selection of “dirty” chips, French fries topped with a variety of flavors.

"Gordon always pushes us to re-imagine even the simplest things like a French fry," said chef Christina Wilson, vice president of culinary for Gordon Ramsay North America. "We have three different styles of dirty chip. One is going to be a truffle Parmesan. One is going to have some nice chorizo sausage and jalepenos. And the other, which is my favorite, is what we call our 'bacon bacon' fries. So you'll have some pieces of bacon plus a warm bacon vinaigrette on top of those, some cheddar cheese and sour cream. It's like a loaded baked potato."

The restaurant features a blue, red and white color scheme reminiscent of the Union Jack. The color scheme is incorporated both inside and outside the restaurant–in the signage and the walls. A red telephone box serves as the restaurant's entrance.

Inside, visitors will find a limited number of counter seating, with additional covered seating outside in the patio area.

There is a Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips in Las Vegas, but the one at ICON Park is the first on the East Coast. And while the menus are the same, the biggest difference between the two is the cod used for the fish and chips, which mostly comes from local sources.

"Gordon really pushes us to make sure the product that we are using is sustainable and as local as possible," Wilson said. "So we are engaged with some local smaller vessel fishermen, so we are getting a more local product off of the Atlantic."

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips will be open for lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight.

The restaurant joins a lineup at ICON Park that include Blake Shelton's Ole Red, Shake Shack, Uncle Julio's and more.

To celebrate the opening of Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, The Wheel at ICON Park will be lit up in red, white and blue. And through Aug. 15, visitors on The Wheel can listen to songs from the Beatles, Ed Sheeran, The Rolling Stones, Adele and more.
