This week the 150th dog has been adopted from the Aloft Foster Program.

Milo, a pug beagle mix, is that dog.

“We are excited all the dogs here are looking for a home. They have a traumatic history so what better partnership than a hospitality, and dog adoption program with organization like pet alliance to join forces,” Aloft General Manager Luis Arancibia said.

People can come check out the adoptable dog in the lobby of the hotel in downtown Orlando, and if they are interested can apply to adopt them. The applications are sent over to Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.

“If the application gets approved, you may check in without a dog and maybe check out with a dog,” Arancibia said.

Before the dogs head over the hotel, they are checked by a vet from Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, spayed or neutered, and updated on their vaccines.

“It's been incredible helpful for us to place animals so people throughout the county can see the dogs and cats we have available,” said Steven Bardy with Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.

With cute dogs like Milo up for adoption in the program, Arancibia said the people coming in have found great pets.

“This is my mine, I adopted him two years ago they will post a picture of it, and we love to get those updates and Pet alliance does a great job of keeping tabs on them, a lot of family members that adopt dogs from us choose to stay in touch they are regular guests so we love to hear those updates,” he said.

Arancibia said the dogs in the program are usually adopted within one to three days.
