It happened Monday morning at an apartment complex in Spring Hill.

Authorities said a call came in to dispatch with a child on the other end. The dispatcher tried to get information before call hung up.

Deputy Nathan Kent was nearby and responded. He said, “This one I’d say was a 9-1-1 hang up call that transpired into what it did.”

For safety purposes, the Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the name of the complex.

Kent said when he arrived on scene, he saw the child naked on the street and the boy led him to the house to find his father.

Deputy Kent was able to perform CPR and resuscitate him within moments. The young man was transported to a nearby hospital and said to have suffered a medical episode but will make a full recovery.

The child was united with his family.

“Through my career I’ve dealt with a few of these actual scenes," Kent said. "The kid now has their father that’s still there and it kinda hit home since I have a kid around the same age, it just made me appreciate it more because I know that kid would grow up still having their father there."
