VIERA, Fla. — In Brevard County, leaders are urging citizens to take part in the 2020 Census.

Tuesday evening, the county commission passed a resolution in support of the new census.
The goal is to make sure every Brevard resident is counted.
The federal and state government base funding on Census data and housing.
The data also determines how many seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Officials remind citizens the information collected is confidential and isn't affiliated with any political party.
