GREENSBORO, N.C.— Have you noticed Wizard of Oz-inspired murals popping up around Greensboro?

It's to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the annual Wizard of Oz” production by the Community Theatre of Greensboro.

“Everyone loves the movie,” said Rozalynn Fulton, executive director. “Everyone loves the characters and whatever it is people find some kind of connection to the show.”

The annual production includes more than 100 children, teenagers, and adults – on stage and behind the scenes. This year people have another opportunity to get involved.

“We’ve had people fly in from New York and L.A. just to see the murals in the city and they’ve been really excited about them,” said Marty Kotis, CEO of Kotis Holdings. “So, I hope that they will be a big tourism draw for Greensboro and also a sense of pride for people in the city.”
