ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — As the cold front continues to move south and away, cooler air will continue to flow in Saturday and Sunday.

Even though the deepest moisture is gone, low clouds will continue. Sprinkles are still possible in the coastal areas until about midday Saturday.

Low pressure is continuing to develop in the Atlantic just east of Florida. This will reinforce the northwest winds across our area. As cooler air moves across the warmer Gulf waters, low clouds and sprinkles can develop.

Boating conditions are hazardous and will be into Sunday. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect.

With lowering dew points, it will be cool through morning.  Lows in Tampa will be down into the upper 50s. So lows near 50 are expected for the Nature Coast. It will stay breezy with north-northwest winds. Sprinkles are possible in the coastal areas.

On Saturday, it will stay breezy. Low clouds may linger through most of the day.  Sprinkles will be possible in the coastal areas, mainly in the morning. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s for the Nature Coast, to mid to upper 60s around Tampa Bay. Areas south might hit 70.

Saturday night will be chilly, the coolest of the season so far. Lows will reach into the 40s for areas north of Tampa Bay. Tampa will get down to near 50. Clouds will be decreasing though, and winds will be lighter.

The cool air continues into Sunday. There will be more sun. The breezes will not be as strong.  Highs though will stay in the upper 60s.

Monday will start out in the mid-50s for Tampa to 40s for the Nature Coast.  The afternoon will get a little warmer with lighter winds. Highs will get to around 70, still 8 degrees below normal though.

Monday night into early Tuesday, another reinforcing cold front moves through. There will not be a much moisture in the atmosphere, but there may be some patchy light rain or sprinkles over the Gulf and into the Coastal Counties into Tuesday morning.

For Tuesday, winds pick up again out of the north. Coastal sprinkles will end early. Skies will be mostly sunny. Highs will be near 70. Temperatures will start returning to normal by the weekend.
