LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — A 51-year-old Kissimmee woman died Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in the Four Corners area of south Lake County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at 11:15 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and Golden Eagle Boulevard.

Troopers said Deborah Edge was driving her 2007 Chrysler SUV northbound on U.S. 27 when her vehicle crossed into the direct path of a 2004 Ford Flex that was also heading north.

The front of the Ford Flex hit the right, rear side of Edge's vehicle, according to FHP.

Edge's vehicle left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch. Edge was killed.

The crash remains under investigation.
