OCALA, Fla — A man who was critically shot in an Ocala home Saturday has died, Ocala Police Department announced.

The deadly shooting happened at a home on North Magnolia Avenue late Saturday afternoon.
According to police, a man shot 44-year-old Donnell Dewese in the home.
When officers arrived, the suspected shooter reportedly surrendered his gun to authorities.
Dewese, suffering from one gunshot wound, was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.
No charges have been filed yet.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police say the suspect is fully cooperating with detectives.
