David Alexander Kelly of Orlando, a registered sex offender, has been charged with lewd or lascivious molestation on a victim younger than 12.

Orange County Sheriff's investigators say in an arrest affidavit that deputies were called out to the Walmart Supercenter at 8101 South John Young Parkway just before midnight Tuesday.

When they got there, deputies said they saw a bystander holding down another man later identified as Kelly.

Investigators determined that the child was hanging out in the toy aisle while the person the child was with shopped nearby in the store. Kelly approached the child and grabbed the child's buttocks twice before briskly walking away, they said.

Deputies said at least that part of the incident was captured on video.

The child, whose age was not released, told a security worker, who contacted law enforcement. A search ensued for the man, who was spotted near the front of the store, according to the affidavit. The man started running through the parking lot but was taken to the ground by the bystander, it said.

Kelly is a registered sex offender and has faced charges of child porn possession and soliciting another for lewd acts, the affidavit said.

He's being held in the Orange County Jail with no bond.
