ORLANDO, Fla. — It was an active day Friday with quite a few showers and storms rolling in from the west. We may still see showers overnight.

The line of storms was sparked by a front that is expected to move through Saturday afternoon. Heavy rain and a few strong storms stayed mainly north and west of I-4, bringing several inches of rain and some gusty wind.

Cloudy skies will continue overnight with a decent chance for showers. A few storms will be possible as we head toward daybreak. Temperatures will fall into the mid-60s.

After a soggy start to our Saturday, showers will begin to wind down heading into the afternoon. Expect mostly cloudy skies to stick around throughout the day as temperatures climb into the mid to low 70s.

Clearing will begin Saturday night and we’ll see more sunshine for Sunday with cooler temperatures.

Surf conditions Saturday will be poor to fair, but watch for choppy waters and an elevated rip current threat. Exercise caution if heading out on the boat.

Highs for the start of next week will be around 70 degrees with lows around 50 degrees. The next system to bring rain is not expected until Thursday.
