SANFORD, Fla. — The man charged the March 2017 shooting of six people that left a woman and her young son dead has changed his not-guilty plea.

Allen Cashe pleaded no contest during a hearing Monday morning at the Seminole County Courthouse in Sanford.

Cashe had originally pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder charges in the March 27, 2017 shooting.

On that date, Sanford detectives say Cashe stormed into the home of ex-girlfriend Tina Herring and shot her, her father, her two young boys before going outside and shooting a man walking down the street and a girl at a bus stop.

Herring and one of her sons died.

After his plea deal, Cashe will now be sentenced January 16.
