SANFORD, Fla. — The Seminole County Sheriff's Office is investigating an overnight shooting in unincorporated Sanford that left one man dead and another man injured.

  • Shooting occurred in 3000 block of Sanford Ave.

Deputies were called out to the 3000 block of Sanford Avenue in response to a possible shooting.  Witnesses told deputies that multiple people were inside the home when an unknown disturbance occurred between four males. 

Deputies said one of the males was armed with a handgun and fired several rounds striking two people.  The shooter and the other unharmed male fled the scene. 

When deputies arrived at the home, they said Seminole County paramedics were tending to an unresponsive male.  He was transported to the hospital where he died shortly after arriving. 

The second victim was driven to the hospital before first responders arrived and is currently in stable condition.  However, officials say he is not cooperating with investigators. 

Officials say all four people involved have been identified and investigators are working to locate the two people who fled. 

The man who died has been identified as 23-year-old Lamar Alston of Sanford. The man who was injured has been identified as 26-year-old Senoula Presendieu. 

Officials have not released the names of the other two males.
