DELTONA, Fla. — Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputies have responded to a standoff Thursday night, in which they say an armed, barricaded suspect who claims he shot and killed a man.

The standoff is at Bell Tower Apartments on 530 Bell Tower Avenue, according to Public Information Officer Andrew Gant.
Gant says the building was evacuated and traffic in the surrounding area was short down.
The Red Cross is also reportedly on scene to help displaced families.
