TAMPA, Fla. -- The race is on for local elections in the Bay area. 

COUNTY COMMISSION RACES: 

Pinellas County has already declared a winner for District 6 commission seat: Kathleen Peters. Peters ran against Larry Ahern and Barb Haselden.

In Hillsborough County, six candidates are vying for the District 7 commission seat -- Republicans Todd Marks and Aakash Patel, and Democrats Ray Chiaramonte, Mark Nash, Kimberly Overman, and Sky White.

Four candidates are vying for the District 5 commission seat -- Republicans Victor Crist and Angel Urbino Capo, and Democrats Elvis Piggott and Mariella Smith.

Those results are not final yet. 

In Manatee County, three candidates are vying for the District 4 commission seat -- Republicans Mark Black, Laurie Galle, and Misty Servia.

Those results have not been posted yet. 

In Hernando County, three candidates are vying for the District 2 commission seat -- Republicans Wayne Dukes, Charles Greenwell, and Beth Narverud.

As of right now, Wayne Dukes is leading over the other two. 

For the District 4 commission seat in Hernando County, Jeff Holcomb won over Natalie Kahler. 

In Citrus County, Ron Kitchen Jr. won the District 2 commission seat, beating out Republicans Renee Christopher-McPheeters, Tim Langer, and Ruthie Schlabach.

And Scott Carnahan beat out Scott Adams for the District 4 commission seat. 

In Polk County, Republican Rick Wilson beat out Kathryn Gates-Skipper for the District 2 commission seat. 

And in District 4, Martha Santiago won against Jim Guth.
