SANFORD, Fla. -- A Sanford mother accused of leaving her 3-year-old daughter in a car overnight has posted bond.

Casey Keller posted bond on Monday and her next court appearance is Tuesday, Aug. 7, according to the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office said Keller went to a liquor store Saturday night with her three children.

They say she then returned to her apartment with two of the kids, but the 3-year-old girl remained in the hot vehicle for about 12 hours.

Investigators say when Keller realized the 3-year-old was not in the apartment, she called 911 and reported her missing.

Keller told a dispatcher someone had stolen her car with her daughter inside.

"I went down to get her out of the car, my car's missing and my baby's missing," said Keller on the 911 call.

When dispatchers first asked Keller how long the child had been in the car, she said about an hour.

"I went upstairs, and she was sleeping so I cracked the window, I came back down to get her -- it wasn't even an hour -- I don't know," Keller said on the call.

Deputies say when they got to the apartment complex, they found Keller's car in front of her apartment building. They say her 3-year-old daughter was in a car seat inside the vehicle.

She was reportedly overheated and in and out of consciousness. The girl was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office says the toddler was doing much better Monday and is expected to make a full recovery.

Keller's neighbor Jaffar Qureshi said he would see she and her children often.

"(Keller) would sit outside smoking and sometimes drinking wine, and her kids would be playing here in the corridor," Qureshi said. "She appeared to be a nice responsible mom, but as we learned yesterday, this was horrible. What she did is unbelievable."

A clerk at EZ Liquor says Keller is a regular at the liquor store, but said she didn’t appear to be intoxicated when she visited the store on Saturday night just before she took her kids back home.

Keller is charged with child neglect with great bodily harm.

Investigators Keller's other two kids are in the care of other family members now.
