The Hernando County Fine Arts Council will sponsor an afternoon of old fashioned fun and games complete with a musical petting zoo, storytelling, food and other vendors. Pre-concert entertainment by Live Oak Theatre Company will be at 4 p.m., Al Chance performs at 4:45 p.m., Vicki Roush at 5:15 p.m., Memories Quartet at 5:45 p.m. and after our Salute to Veterans, the Hernando County Symphony Orchestra will kick off at 6:30 p.m. Smoking Good Barbeque will be there from 4 to 7 p.m. serving hamburgers and hot dogs and then BBQ later in the day. This is a FREE event, bring the entire family! There will be a special acknowledgement of our veterans and a spectacular fireworks display to see after a day filled with fun and music.

    The annual Temple Terrace Independence Day Parade will take place on Monday, July 4 from 10 a.m. till noon. It will start at the corner of Whiteway Drive and Gillette Avenue. Evening festivities will start at 6 p.m. on the first fairway of the Temple Terrace golf course. There will be a variety of food vendors, live music and other entertainment.     Bring your folding chairs, suntan lotion and sunglasses and enjoy the largest Fourth of July parade in Florida. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at the corner of Lumsden Road and Parson Avenue. It heads north to Robertson Street, turns west and finishes at Buckingham Place.

Howard Park Beach

The City of Tarpon Springs will present a Fourth of July Fireworks display just after sunset ;on Wednesday, July 4. The best viewing area will be Fred Howard Park located at 1700 Sunset Drive in Tarpon Springs. The park, beach and causeway will be open for parking to view this event.  Parking is free after 6pm. Parking is limited so come early and enjoy the display. After the park is full to capacity, the gates will be closed for safety.  Please observe all of the county park rules and regulations. No alcoholic beverages are permitted

The fireworks will be launched from the City’s Sunset Beach. For set up and safety, the north end of Sunset Beach and the boat launch will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th.The south side of the beach and causeway will close at 2pm.

    A variety of artists will take the stage this year, beginning at 3 p.m. followed by the largest fireworks display in Polk County. There will be plenty of arts, crafts and food vendors, a beer garden and other activities on site. Come join the fun! General admission is free.


  • Busch Gardens: Visitors will get to experience an electrifying fireworks display, live entertainment, and extended hours to try out all new rides and fan favorites. The theme park is open until 11 p.m.
  • Walt Disney World: 
    • At Magic Kingdom, "Disney's Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" fireworks and concert will take the center stage July 3-4. The show begins at 9:15 p.m.
    • At Epcot, on July 4, The Voices of Liberty will hold a concert at the America Gardens Theatre. Three performances are scheduled for 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. Then at 9 p.m. will be "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth."
  • Universal Orlando: Universal Studios Florida's Independence Day celebration will include performances by Raydio and DJ M-Squared on the Music Plaza Stage. A character dance party begins at 6:15 p.m., while fireworks take place at 9:15 p.m. The celebration runs from 5 p.m. until the park closes at 10 p.m.  
  • SeaWorld Orlando: The nightly "Ignite" fireworks and laser show will feature a special patriotic finale. Ignite Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. followed by the Fourth of July celebration at 9:45 p.m.
  • Legoland Florida: "Red, White, and Boom!" will feature a spectacular fireworks show where viewers with special glasses will get to experience LEGO bricks exploding in the sky.
