It’s official, Universal Studios Japan is getting a Mario Kart ride.

Universal and Nintendo executives revealed new details Wednesday about the upcoming Super Nintendo World during a special ceremony at the Osaka theme park.

Appearing on a “Mushroom Kingdom” stage, executives announced that the themed land will feature shops, restaurants and attractions, including a Mario Kart ride—confirming what has been speculated for months.

“Mario Kart Experience” will be a “key” part of the land, with executives calling it “the most immersive and cutting-edge technological attraction.”

A concept video, which shows Mario running through a CG-rendered version of the land, was also released during the event.  Watch the video below.

Breaking down the video, it quickly becomes apparent how much detail Nintendo plans to put into the new land.

At the beginning, Mario approaches what seems to be a video game start screen, complete with a “start” button. After uttering his iconic “Here we go!” Mario runs into a large green warp pipe which sends into the land.

From there, Mario is surrounded by Peach’s and Bower’s castles, platforms, giant piranha plants, rotating coins and more.

The video’s final overview shot displays dozens of recognizable items from the video game series: mushrooms, on the flagpoles from Super Mario Bros. and question mark blocks.

Super Nintendo World is slated to open by 2020 in Universal Studios Japan. However, during the special event on Wednesday, executives revealed they plan to have the new land open ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

After Japan, Universal plans to open versions of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood in California and Universal Orlando in Florida.

One can only hope, a Mario Kart ride is brought stateside.
