A driver managed to escape injuries after a SunRail train plowed into a vehicle along the tracks on near South Orange Avenue in Orlando on Thursday.

Video provided to News 13 shows a car parked parallel to the tracks near West Oak Ridge Road.

SunRail sent out several tweets stating one train was canceled and another was delayed because of the crash. All trains were running on time as of 7:41 p.m., SunRail tweeted.

Florida Highway Patrol says the driver, 73-year-old Jean Marseille of Orlando, was trying to turn around on the tracks and got stuck.

A good Samaritan, Nelson Perez, 30, heard the train coming and helped Marseille out of the car before it was hit by the train.

No one was hurt in the crash. FHP ticketed Marseille for stopping on the train tracks.

If for any reason your car becomes stuck on train tracks, FHP says to call 911 immediately once you are safely away from the vehicle.
